Been working ahrd this past summer have not had to many posts because it has been so busy! Which is a good thing. Could not of have asked for a better wedding day on Holden beach.  The weather was amazing, with a very light breeze and a truly gorgeous sunset that shined upon the bride & groom.

This is the first Holden beach wedding I was the photographer for this year!  I truly was honored to be the wedding photographer  and I  felt as part of a extended family during the celebration.

Really just wanted to share my heart with all those involved at this Fearrington Farm Village wedding. First of all the bride and groom were amazing, not just as a couple, but truly as people with heart and spirit.

Their friends loved them and they oozed a natural love that was so inspiring. I have been very thankful over the past years as I learn about expanding the borders of my photography craft and most of all lining up with destiny to meet those special clients and how our paths cross. I am truly blessed to be doing what I do as a professional photographer. This year has proven over and over that photography for me is a gift to be shared with those seeking that special connection with someone to document their wedding day. This is one of many.

Another special thanks to two friends of mine and amazing photographers Amy Leigh and Jason Armond. I was blessed and privaledged to have them assist me with their creative skills and awesome personality power to connect with others. Again, I feel honored that our paths crossed and you brought not only your talent but amazing personalities also. I thank you.

Fearrington Farms, or Village not sure what to call this special wedding venue. But, I must truly say that the past two weddings I have been honored to document here have been nothing but stunning with the many many locations to truly capture amazing portraits of the wedding party. The natural light is stunning and you can find nooks and crannies to truly bring out images with natural flair and personality. Be sure to bring plenty of lighting power for the barn. as there is not alot of natural light coming in thru the windows.

This amazing day before the Hurricane Irena came to town was pretty special. Working with this spirited couple was such a delight. The day started out with us meeting at Snow’s Cut pass there under the bridge as you enter Carolina Beach on the way to Kure Beach.From there with a pretty awesome Carlina Skiff, we set off to a nearby favorite spot on the beach that the couple like to park on the weekends during the summer months, to enjoy themselves with friends and family. These engagement photos I hope share the love and sense of adventure the couple has for one another.

This is a major key I hope to work with every couple that I work with, thats to find their favorite locations, where they feel at home or where they maybe first met, or first date. Regardless its important I feel for them to have a connection with their surroundings. And as a photographer taking engagement photos Carolina Beach has its rewards when you connect with the client.

Another amazing beach wedding  Topsail Island NC. The wedding was on the South end of the beach past Surf City pier and to the end of the island.  We could not have asked for a better day of lighting although it was a tad windy and the wedding on the beach was in the morning, we had a great time.

The ceremony on lasted a few minutes with close family and friends attending. After the beach wedding ceremony, we took some family photos and bridal party,then we let everybody head back to the beach house, and I stayed with the bride and groom. From there we took some photos of them on the beach and did not waste to much time

at the locations as we wanted to head down the island to some other amazing locations to capture some beach wedding portraits. One stop was of course the Surf City Pier.

We took an array of photos there with the couple and then proceeded to head to the North end of Topsail Island.

This weekend was a busy one for Chris Van Atta photography at the Jolly Roger Pier. The couple was Kim and Alan, the reception was at the Topsail Island assembly building. Our team was ready and prepared for any weather changes that might occur. We hope that when you seek for photographers Topsail Island wedding  and are having your wedding at the beach on Topsail Beach, you will think of Chris Van Atta photography.

The weather was not too bad at all here at the beach. Sun was being diffused by cloud cover which really helps when your a photographer and trying to create amazing photos for your client. We could not have asked for anything better weather wise for this Topsail beach wedding. We captured photos of the bride and groom just after the wedding ceremony right there at the beach, fully taking advantage of the natural light that the sun was casting on the beach and the water.

I did not finish the wedding party portraits as I really wanted to wait for the magic hour with the sun setting and casting a photographers dream experience with the correct exposure and is just one of the factors that make Topsail island wedding photographer Chris Van Atta distinguished from his competitors.

As the magic hour approached we took the wedding party to the beach and finished the bridal portraits and bride and groom portraits, under the Jolly Roger pier. As you can see from the photos above, the wedding day couple, the composition, colors, and sharpness all compliment each other for this Topsail Island beach wedding.
